Practical tools. Personal storytelling.
Not another surface-level wellness interview
They need a conversation that meets them in the gap between knowing what they should do and actually feeling able to do it. Sadie has lived in that gap—and spent a decade helping others navigate it.
Her story connects the personal, the practical, and the unexpected: a harsh inner critic, affirmations recorded for a moped commute, years of working directly with clients, and an app that puts the practice in your own hands.
A candid lived story, not a polished pedestal.
Your own voice, sound, and the beliefs you rehearse.
A new question, a kinder phrase, a personal practice.

Sadie Ackerman
The person behind the practice
Before Affirmism was an app, it was a lifeboat. Sadie began recording affirmations when her inner world felt critical, anxious, and unkind. Hearing her own voice become a source of support changed the direction of her life.
That experience now sits alongside a decade of Finding Home Healing: individualized emotional healing and intuitive coaching for people navigating limiting beliefs, people-pleasing, sensitivity, and the feeling that something is keeping them from fully living.
A Highly Sensitive Person herself, Sadie brings practical logic and heart-led empathy. Her work has supported hundreds of people worldwide, including entrepreneurs, parents, coaches, and therapists.
Sadie is an integrative practitioner and coach, not a state-licensed psychologist or medical professional.

What clients describe isn’t just a better understanding of their pain. It’s a different experience of their everyday lives.
This work is the first that's taught me how to work through the pain.
I've done lots of different modalities before that pointed at the problem but never taught me how to address the pain. This helped me unblock something that has been a roadblock for me for fifteen years.
Ever since, I have felt so free.
For the first time in awhile, things have been steady. I'm not constantly thinking that things need to change/be better. I haven’t been having obsessive thoughts, I’m a lot more stable.
I’m becoming more resilient.
In the beginning things shattered me. I used to notice if I got upset, it opened a door and took me down. That’s not happening like how it used to. I’m feeling stronger!
Everything doesn’t feel as heavy anymore.
Now I can stop and enjoy my life; my mind has finally arrived. I have more patience with my son and with work, and I’m letting myself feel the good stuff instead of cringing at it.
I can’t believe I’m finally free of that!
Instead, I took what was happening and trusted my body and it was ok. The amount of work I’ve done beforehand to try to get here was immense, and this finally worked.
I feel emotionally stronger now.
Doing release work was really critical for me. There was a lot I was holding onto so I wasn’t able to cope as well. I am able to identify when I’m not in control of my emotions and let them pass through.

More client experiencesThe app at the heart of the conversation
Most mindfulness apps ask you to listen to someone else. Affirmism invites you to become the voice you turn to.
Record personal affirmations, pair them with binaural beats, and build a listening ritual for calm, rest, confidence, or focus. It’s the practice Sadie first created for herself, then for clients—now available on iPhone.

A thoughtful conversation, not a medical claim: binaural beats and brainwave entrainment are areas of ongoing research. Affirmism is a mindfulness and sound healing app, not a treatment for medical or psychological conditions.

Sadie Ackerman is the founder of Affirmism™, an iOS app that pairs self-recorded affirmations with binaural beats, and Finding Home Healing, her 1:1 emotional healing and intuitive coaching practice of ten years. A certified Integrative Practitioner and Master Practitioner of NLP, she brings lived experience as a Highly Sensitive Person to conversations about self-talk, emotional patterns, and coming home to yourself.
Sadie Ackerman is an integrative practitioner, intuitive coach, and the founder of Finding Home Healing and Affirmism™. For ten years, her 1:1 practice has helped people explore the beliefs and emotional patterns that keep them feeling stuck, blending practical tools with heart-led empathy. Her background includes certification in Integrative Psychology, Mental and Emotional Release, and Huna Higher Consciousness healing, and Master Practitioner training in Neuro-Linguistic Programming. Affirmism began with her own search for a kinder inner voice. A decade ago, Sadie started recording affirmations for her daily commute, then layering her voice over binaural beats. What became a personal ritual grew into custom recordings for her coaching clients—and, eventually, an iOS app that lets others create their own. As a Highly Sensitive Person, empath, and intuitive, Sadie brings both personal vulnerability and a decade of practice to conversations about sensitivity, self-worth, emotional healing, and the intersection of sound and self-talk. Her work invites people to stop outsourcing every answer and begin building a more compassionate relationship with themselves.
Today I’m joined by Sadie Ackerman, an integrative practitioner and intuitive coach with a ten-year practice helping people come home to themselves. She’s also the founder of Affirmism, an app that lets you record affirmations in your own voice and pair them with binaural beats. We’re talking about the inner critic, the stories we repeat, and what it means to make your own voice a source of support.
